Description: Compile the whole day report and add attachment including some inspection photos and some RFI documents. 10.00am-11.00am Task: Log architecture’s RFI. Assist Mr. Azir. 11.00am-1.00pm Task: Read about cooling tower for air conditioning system Description: The cooling towers shall be of induced Draft Cross Flow design of multi-cell construction and shall be low noise type. It should be guaranteed to perform in accordance with the specified condition. The shape must be rectangular with common basin. Each cooling tower shall be complete with motor, fan, casing, filling, water distribution basin and accessories. The main casing and water basin should be made of FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester). 2.00pm-4.00pm Task: Study drawing of escalator for level 2 Description: Altogether there are 18 escalators installed for this project. 16 escalators will be at MTB. The other two will remain at ERL station. The escalator provider is SIGMA elevator company. 4.00pm-5.15pm Task: Read lifts and escalators design criteria. Description: The lifts are working in group and provided with the collective control system which will give good riding comfort for the passenger. The passenger lifts will be incorporated with group microprocessor supervisory control to improve and reduce the car waiting time. Lifts and escalators supervisory panels shall be located at the central control room for monitoring and control purposes. |

8.15am-9.30am Task: Update my daily report for previous day (Monday) 10.00am-12.00pm Task: Buy pantry and office accessories. Accompany Mr. Hafiz. 2.00pm-3.00pm Task: Read mechanical services : Plant rooms & toilet ventilation Description: This enclosed area will be mechanically ventilated with supply air grilles and exhaust air fans complete with ducts. The fan used is constant speed in-line type. External windows which act as natural ventilation systems will be installed at the toilets. 3.00pm-4.30pm Task: Inspection of Pressure test for hose reel system and Megger test for smoke spill system at MTB level 1 and 2. Accompany Mr. Hilmi. RFI no: FF/188/191. Description: The initial reading for the pressure test is 150bar. We need to wait for 48 hours to see whether there is any pressure drop. The accepted drop will be in range of 1%-5%. More than that will be considered fail. While for Megger Test, the testing is failed due to not achieving the minimum requirement of resistance which is 300MΩ. The contractor will check the wiring again and call for inspection later on. 4.30pm-5.15pm Task: Stamp received RFI for tomorrow inspection. The RFI’s are for architecture and C&S works. |

8.15am-9.30am Task: Update the previous day daily report (Tuesday) 9.30am-10.30am Task: Study drawing : level 4 floor plan Description: level 4 is also known as commercial area due to many shop lots provided there. 11.00am-12.30pm Task: Log mechanical’s RFI. Assist Mr. Hilmi. 2.00pm-3.00pm Task: Compile monthly report for APRIL 2010. Assist Mr. Hafiz. Description: This report is to be send to MOT. It includes the project progress up until APRIL 2010. 3.00pm-5.15pm Task: Study drawing : pump room and water tank detail Description: The pumps available at pump room are Wet riser pump, Hydrant Pump, hose reel pump and sprinkler pump. I have studied the power supply specification to match with the one given in contract. |

8.15am-9.30am Task: Update my daily report for the previous day (Wednesday). 10.00am-12.30pm Task: Study drawing : Lift and escalators details Description: I have put an effort to memorize specific location for lifts and escalators position. For example the specific location for lift 13, escalator 9 and etc. I have noticed that only lift 13 can go from level 1 to 6. This is for me to get familiar with the services’ location. 2.00pm-4.00pm Task: Sort monthly progress report & weekly minute. Assist Mr. hafiz. Description: The monthly report and weekly minute are from year 2008(project begin) until now. The reason for sorting these documents is to ease the documentation process later on. 4.00pm-5.15pm Task: Update my industrial training blog. |

8.15am-9.30am Task: Update my previous day report (Thursday) 9.30am-10.30am Task: Compile monthly report. Asssit Mr. Hafiz. Description: Me and Hafiz (practical trainee) have been assigned to compile and bind all 6 sets of reports. This is the report for April session. Later on, it will be submitted to MOT to update them the project progress. 11.00am-12.00pm Task: Photocopy RFI (mechanical services) for doing Project Monitoring Report (PMR). Assist Mr. Hilmi. Description: The RFI are about LPG system, Fire fighting, AWCS and oil interceptor. The PMR is recorded when the inspectors performed daily site inspections. The completed report shall be signed off by the respective inspectors of work. At the same time, inspectors of work shall verify RFI submitted by the contract on all work elements. 2.30pm-4.30pm Task: Update my industrial training log book for week no. 5 4.30pm-5.15pm Task: Stamp received RFI. |
